Voted “Artist of the Month”
Voted “Artist of the Month” for the second time by the New Mexico Music Commission for Sept. 2005… In the sultry world of Jazz, Albuquerque’s Bernadette Seacrest is royalty. Seacrest says her primary influences are Billy Holiday, Patsy Cline, Nina Simone and Exene (the lead singer of seminal Los Angeles Punk Band X).
Her voice and performance will take you back on a sentimental journal to the 1930’s and 40’s. She grew up in New York and Los Angeles and moved to Albuquerque in 1993.
Seacrest has quite a following and is praised by New Mexico’s entertainment reporters as a talented singer, and a fun and sultry performer. Her CD, No More Music by the Suckers is both sassy and sinister.
You can see Bernadette Seacrest perform regularly at Swig in Santa Fe, or the Spanish Gardens at the Sheraton in Old Town Albuquerque. You can also visit her web-site, BernadetteSeacrest.com.
